Is Window Replacement Messy? Here’s What to Expect
If you’re thinking about replacing your windows, you’ve probably asked yourself (or your spouse) something like:
“Will this be a huge mess? Or Will my house feel like a construction zone for days?”
We get it, window replacement sounds like a big deal. After all, it’s cutting into walls, removing old glass, and putting in brand new windows. So yeah, it’s going to shake things up a bit, but the good news is: it doesn’t have to be a nightmare.
Here’s what you can expect when you work with us at Glacier Glass.
Before we ever start, we make sure the workspace is protected.
We cover your floors and furniture near the windows with drop cloths and plastic sheeting, kind of like giving your home a mini raincoat.
We also take time to carefully remove window treatments and anything fragile nearby, so nothing gets damaged.
Finishing Touches: We reinstall trim or add new finishing details if needed and make sure everything looks sharp.
There will be some dust, especially during removal, but with proper preparation and containment, it’s never out-of-control. We vacuum and wipe down the area daily, and when we’re done, we leave your home clean and tidy.
Many of our customers say it’s less messy than they expected!
Most window replacements take a few hours per window. So depending on how many windows you’re replacing, the whole project could be done in a day or two.
We work efficiently and clean as we go to keep disruption to a minimum.
We’ve been doing window replacements in Saskatchewan for years, so we know how to keep things running smoothly, from prep to cleanup.
Our team treats your home like it’s their own and makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the process.

If you’re worried about mess, noise, or disruption, just ask us! We’re happy to walk you through the process and explain exactly what to expect.
Stop by, give us a call, or shoot us a message. We’ll take a look, give you transparent advice, and help you get back to enjoying the view – crack-free.
